Apple Cranberry Chicken Recipe

You're never too old to learn how to prepare healthier, scrumptious meals, and that's one of the main reasons you'll absolutely fall in love with this apple cranberry chicken recipe. It's no secret that staying on track can be tough. Anyone who's reading this has been there. 4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (two pounds)

2 medium sized apples, cored and sliced into wedges

1 thinly sliced medium onion

1/4 cup of frozen concentrated lemonade – (thawed)

1 can of whole cranberry sauce – (16 ounces)

2 tablespoons of honey

2 tablespoons of quick-cooking tapioca

1/4 teaspoon of salt

2 packages of long grain wild rice mix (6 ounces)

First combine the cored apples and sliced onion in the slow cooker. Next take out a medium sized bowl and mix together the cranberry sauce, lemonade concentrate, tapioca, honey and salt. After that coat your chicken breasts, one at a time, in the cranberry mixture. Once your chicken breasts are well coated, carefully place them on top of the apple mixture in the slow cooker. Cover and cook your apple cranberry chicken recipe on a low-heat setting. Allow it to cook for 6 or seven hours on low heat or up to 3 1/2 hours on high heat.

Separately, in a large saucepan cook your long-grain and wild rice with it's seasoning packets.
