Apple Cranberry Chicken Recipe

4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (two pounds)

2 medium sized apples, cored and sliced into wedges

1 thinly sliced medium onion

1/4 cup of frozen concentrated lemonade – (thawed)

1 can of whole cranberry sauce – (16 ounces)

2 tablespoons of honey

2 tablespoons of quick-cooking tapioca

1/4 teaspoon of salt

2 packages of long grain wild rice mix (6 ounces)

First combine the cored apples and sliced onion in the slow cooker. Next take out a medium sized bowl and mix together the cranberry sauce, lemonade concentrate, tapioca, honey and salt. After that coat your chicken breasts, one at a time, in the cranberry mixture. Once your chicken breasts are well coated, carefully place them on top of the apple mixture in the slow cooker. Cover and cook your apple cranberry chicken recipe on a low-heat setting. Allow it to cook for 6 or seven hours on low heat or up to 3 1/2 hours on high heat.

Separately, in a large saucepan cook your long-grain and wild rice with it's seasoning packets. Simply follow the package directions and serve with chicken and sauce This apple cranberry chicken recipe is a delicious blend of tangy and sweet that will make your mouth water as well as being easy on the hips.

Butternut Squash Ravioli Recipe

If you have diabetics in the house or people trying to lose weight then having healthy food is something that can really help them out but not just any kind of healthy food but something that you make.

One weakness that many people have is pasta but it’s unhealthy unless if you make it healthy by using things in it like low-fat cheese and staying away from the butter. Some might not even notice the difference when this is done or could say that it tasted better then it did then with the first ingredient used. Listed below is a very healthy butternut squash ravioli dish that you can use.

The ingredients you’ll need:

2 tablespoons heavy cream

Fresh sage leaves, chopped

Fresh parsley leaves, chopped

24 wonton skins, or pasta from following recipe

2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped

¼ cup butter, softened

3 tablespoons shallots, minced

1 cup butternut squash puree

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tablespoons butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, crushed

The butter should be heated in a skillet, the garlic sauté and the shallots should be added until tender. The sqaush should be added next and mixed very well. Pepper and salt can be added if desired. Cheese and cream can be blended. After it’s mixed and blended then the parsley leavese and chopped sage can be put in. One scoop of the wonton wrapper should be put on a side and folded over in order to seal the edges. The pasta can be cooked inside boiling water for only around three minutes. Softened butter 1/4 cup can be put in the fresh sage. The butter should be spread with sauce right on top with the raviolis and garlic toast can be served.

A lot of tools should be used when making this. A plastic drinking cup that is small can be used to cut the pasta out if you don’t have a pasta maker.
